Dorante was a rich young man, he is now more than ambitious. To rebuild himself, he manages to get hired as a steward at Araminte thanks to the help of his former valet. An idea then comes to him: to develop a seduction stratagem so that his new mistress falls under his spell. A whole game of masks and misunderstandings then sets in at the service of romantic manipulation... This comedy by Marivaux is the new production of the director Alain Françon, a major figure in contemporary theater, former director of the Drama Centers of Lyon and Savoie as well as the Théâtre La Hill at Paris. The opportunity to discover for the first time Friborg his many times rewarded work and to find on stage the immense French-speaking actor Gilles Privat (Presque Hamlet).
