with Christiane Meyer-Stoll and Rolf Ricke
Rolf Ricke (*1934 in Kassel) is one of the most important art collectors and gallery owners in Germany and played a key role in making American artists known in Europe. In his former gallery in Cologne, Ricke organized exhibitions by Keith Sonnier, Gary Kuehn, Donald Judd, Richard Serra and Barry Le Va, among others.
In 1970, Barry Le Va showed his first solo exhibition in Europe in the Rolf Ricke Gallery, which led to a lasting cooperation and friendship between Ricke and Le Va. In 2006, the Liechtenstein Art Museum, together with the St. Gallen Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, Frankfurt am Main, acquired the extensive Ricke collection.
In cooperation with the Liechtenstein Art Society.
