Antoine and Consuelo de Saint-Exupéry – A passionate love in letters.
The Lautwärts ensemble reads and plays about a love that couldn't be more passionate. A breathless up and down of emotions between the beautiful, young and extroverted artist Consuelo and her husband, the aviator and author of The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The couple's relationship began in Buenos Aires in 1930 and ended with Antoine's plane crash in 1944.
Expectations and longing, loneliness, long waiting and refuge, deep connection and accusations are the constant companions in their lives between Buenos Aires, New York, Paris and Algiers.
Julia Katterfeld and Frank Streichfuss from the speaker team of HSL Hörmedienproduktion, read from letters and literature by Consuelo and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, bringing their love to life once again. Multi-instrumentalist Andreas Geyer negotiates and interprets the emotional life of the two lovers, musically combines what appears loose, and uses his sounds to paint his own picture of the rose and the prince.
