The pianist and composer Büşra Kayıkçı came into contact with music, ballet and painting at an early age in her hometown of Istanbul. Inspired by artists such as John Cage and Nils Frahm, she began working on minimalist and neoclassical compositions for piano. Kayikçi has now released three albums. Beguiling piano pieces that appear dreamy and sketchy at first glance, but reveal their subtlety upon closer listening. In spring she will play in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, in August in Winterthur in the church, which she will take over with her electro-acoustic music. Goosebumps guaranteed.
