Nora is a young housewife and mother who lives with her husband and two sons in a tranquil Swiss village in 1971. There is little sign of the social upheavals of the 1968 movement. However, the peace in the village and family is seriously shaken when Nora begins to campaign for women's suffrage...
"The Divine Order" is the first feature film about Swiss women's suffrage and its late national introduction in 1971. Screenwriter and director Petra Volpe ("Dreamland", screenplay for "Heidi") takes the audience on an emotional journey to rural Switzerland in the 1970s and this groundbreaking time. "The Divine Order" is a monument to all the people who fought for equal political rights back then, as well as to all those who are still committed to equality and self-determination today.
