Family man and professional mountaineer Stephan Sigrist turns 50 this year and still climbs the steepest walls in the world. But he is also under pressure. Due to the pandemic, he was unable to complete various major projects. Due to an accident that only luckily did not end tragically, a film project on the Eiger North Face is still pending.
He also had to cancel an expedition in India because a fellow mountaineer got altitude sickness. The professional mountaineer has to show success for his sponsors and his lectures. How does he deal with this? How much does he risk? When is the time to stop?
Now he is about to embark on a new adventure together with his young fellow mountaineer Jonas Schild.
The four-part "DOK" series provides insights into the adventurous everyday life of people who live different passions and professions above 3000 meters. A professional mountaineer, a paramedic, a prospector and a hut couple take the audience up into the heights.
