The mild climate and volcanic soils in the area around the Styrian municipality of Bad Rakersburg are important for wine growing and the use of thermal springs. The beer brewer Georg Pock and Father Bernard from the Augustinian Hermit Monastery are committed to cross-border "enjoyment on the Mur River" with their association, which is dominated by the Gornja Radgona Castle on the Slovenian side.
