From the religious center of Maria Luggau in the Lesach Valley to the herb village of Irschen in the Drautal and to Mallnitz in the Hohe Tauern National Park, the film takes us to places that have changed dramatically since the 1950s. Bad Bleiberg, where lead and zinc were once mined, has become a sophisticated health resort, and Heiligenblut is experiencing a tourist boom thanks to the expansion of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
