Next Goal Wins

NEXT GOAL WINS tells the story of the American Samoa soccer team, which suffered the worst defeat in World Cup history in 2001 with a 31-0 loss to Australia. That's about to change! As the 2014 World Cup approaches, the team recruits a down-on-its-luck, headstrong coach (Michael Fassbender) to help them turn their fortunes around. Elisabeth Moss (“The French Dispatch,” “Prometheus”) stars alongside Michael Fassbender (“X_Men: Dark Phoenix,” “The Square”), Oscar Kightley, David Fane, Beulah Koale, Lehi Falepapalangi, Semu Filipo, Uli Latukefu, Rachel House and Kaimana. NEXT GOAL WINS was produced by Taika Waititi together with Jonathan Cavendish and Garrett Basch. Andy Serkis, Will Tennant and Kathryn Dean serve as executive producers. Other producers include Mike Brett and Steve Jamison, who directed the 2014 documentary on which the film is based.
