Die 26-jährige Elise ist eine erfolgreiche Balletttänzerin. Während einer Aufführung verletzt sie sich und wird mit dem Befund konfrontiert, dass sie nie wieder tanzen kann. Auf dem Weg wieder auf die Beine zu kommen, begegnet Elise in der Bretagne der zeitgenössischen Tanzgruppe von Hofesh Shechter. In der gewonnenen tänzerischen Freiheit findet sie neue Hoffnung und frisches Lebensgefühl.
