Museum zu Allerheiligen, Schaffhausen

Vincenzo Baviera, Erich Brändle, René Eisenegger, Renate Eisenegger, Erwin Gloor, Ursula Goetz, Linda Graedel, René Moser, Beatrix Schären, Walter Pfeiffer,

For decades they have devoted themselves passionately to art and have shaped the cultural development of the region. Their generation represents a new understanding of work, media openness and a departure into new realms of art. Their work was an important contribution to updating the understanding of art in the region: Schaffhausen artists who were born in the 1940s.

The Museum zu Allerheiligen is dedicating a joint exhibition to ten artists. It is up to all participants to decide how they want to use the visibility of a museum exhibition. The project offers a great deal of variety: a site-specific installation and a previously unseen series of works from the 1980s are represented, as is an attempt at a mini-retrospective. Drawing, photography, sculpture and painting: the range is wide, surprises guaranteed. An exhibition to browse and rediscover.

With works by: Vincenzo Baviera (*1945), Erich Brändle (*1943), René Eisenegger (*1940), Renate Eisenegger (*1949), Erwin Gloor (*1941), Ursula Goetz (*1941–2023), Linda Graedel (*1941), René Moser (*1943), Beatrix Schären (*1940), Walter Pfeiffer (*1946).

Short film portraits of all participants were created for the exhibition. They complement the presentations of the works and offer additional access to the way the various artists think and work.
