Schmidt Max wanders through rescued landscapes (2021, D)
Saved landscapes are forests, moors, plateaus, bodies of water or riverbanks that conservationists and residents have defended against development plans. Today, hiking trails lead through areas in Bavaria that would no longer exist. Schmidt Max explores three areas with a past: from the particularly hotly contested part of the Bavarian shore of Lake Constance to a former tank training area near Landshut to the wildest part of the Ilz in Lower Bavaria.
