Messa da requiem (2013, A, Michael Beyer)

Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem is considered, alongside Beethoven's Missa solemnis and Brahms' German Requiem, to be one of the masterpieces of sacred music of the 19th century. To mark the 200th anniversary of the Italian composer's birth, Verdi's work was performed in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein in 2013. Mariss Jansons was at the podium, and the prominent soloists were Krassimira Stoyanova, Marina Prudenskaja, Saimir Pirgu and Orlin Anastassov.
