Ostukraine, in naher Zukunft. Sergej, ein ehemaliger Soldat, der an einer posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung leidet, schliesst sich einer Gruppe von Freiwilligen an, die sich der Exhumierung von Kriegsleichen widmet. Dort lernt er Katya kennen, der ihm zeigt, dass eine bessere Zukunft möglich ist.
