During a 700 km race through the jungle, the last thing you need is an unwanted companion. But that's exactly what happens to Mikael Lindnord (Mark Wahlberg), the captain of an adventure racing team: After throwing a meatball to a scruffy mongrel one afternoon, the mongrel follows him everywhere he goes. No matter how hard the team tries to shake him off, they can't. And Mikael soon realizes that he doesn't want to either. While the team pushes itself to the limits of endurance during the race, Arthur redefines what victory, loyalty and friendship really mean.
The adventure film is based on the global bestseller "Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home" by Mikael Lindnord, which describes a true story.
