Pantanal: Brazil's Unknown Wilderness (2023, F, Jean-Thomas Renaud, Eric Ellena)
The Pantanal wetland is mostly located in Brazil and is home to jaguars, tapirs, caimans, giant otters and hyacinth macaws. If one of these species were to become extinct, an entire ecosystem would be at risk. For decades, researchers have been trying to convince the authorities and the international community to preserve this balance. They are calling for endemic plants to be used to fight forest fires and for agriculture and livestock farming to be regulated.
