Conservationist Erik Quiroga documents the violent lightning storms that occur on up to 260 nights a year at the mouth of the Catatumbo River in Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela. Quiroga has ensured that the lightning strikes in Catatumbo have been entered into the Guinness Book of Records. Now he wants to have the lake's ecosystem recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
