On the way along the Ayent bisse (2024, CH)
The large Ayent bisse winds its way for eleven kilometers through shady forests past the impressive Torrent-Croix rock face. This historic water pipe dates back to the 15th century. It was built to irrigate the agricultural land in the valley. It still fulfills this important function today. Philippe Constantin from Valais is a farmer and the bisse keeper. He is therefore responsible for its maintenance.
