In diesem Konzert erklingt Chor- und Flötenmusik aus dem 20. Jahrhundert.

Vorfreude, Erinnerung, Sommersonne: In seinen surrealistischen «Sept Chansons» fängt Francis Poulenc das bunte Leben ein. Nur wenig später vertont er im Kriegswinter 1944 mit «Un soir de neige» die Kälte, Enge und Unfreiheit im besetzten Frankreich.

Ergänzt wird das Programm durch Chormusik von Knut Nystedt und Ralph Vaughan Williams sowie Werken für Soloflöte.
