Fish and vegetables directly from Berlin (2017, D)
In 2013, the Berlin start-up TopFarmers began the AquaTerraPonik project - that is fish and vegetable farming combined in a closed water cycle. Since spring 2016, TopFarmers has been proving that the system can be economically viable with Europe's largest AquaTerraPonik system. The whole thing is to be implemented on flat roofs. An opportunity - for many cities around the world.
