J.D. ist seit kurzem Facharzt und damit Dr. Cox gleichgestellt, was dieser nicht akzeptieren kann. Bei jeder Kleinigkeit macht er sich über seinen Kollegen lustig. Erst als sich J.D. im Interesse eines Patienten mit Dr. Kelso anlegt, erkennt Cox, dass er ihm Unrecht tut. Derweil versucht Carla, schwanger zu werden, allerdings ohne Erfolg. Dies ist jedoch aus gutem Grund nicht weiter verwunderlich.
