Satellite s31 ist ein Projekt, das im Ausstellungsprogramm des Kunstraums Engländerbau eine Sonderstellung einnimmt, da es ein einzelnes Grossobjekt in den ansonsten leeren Raum setzt. Bemerkenswert ist die Konstruktion der Grossskulptur, die sich strikt an den Prinzipien des Leichtbaus und der Funktionalität in der Raumfahrt orientieren. Dass das Objekt mittels ausgeklügelter Sensoren interaktiv mit den Rezipient:innen in Verbindung tritt, lässt sofort an Satellitenkommunikation, Navigation, Wetterüberwachung oder Spionage denken.
